The official journal of the AQL is the フランス語:''Revue québécoise de linguistique théorique et appliquée (RQLTA)'', an academic journal which publishes peer-reviewed articles reporting research in all the major subdisciplines of linguistics, as well as book reviews and a variety of other communications.〔ISSN: 0714-5683 (1981-1984), 0835-3603 (1984-1986), 0835-3581 (1986 onwards).〕 The first editor of the journal has been Henri Wittmann. Under his editorship which extended over almost twenty years, the journal published some of the major research results on Quebec French. ''RQLTA'' is the only North-American research journal in linguistics which publishes its articles exclusively in French.〔By-Rules and regulations for the journal, in: ''Revue québécoise de linguistique théorique et appliquée'', vol. 10, no 2, 1991, pp. 55.〕
